THE KKK IS PLOTTING TO KILL OBAMA

If you were duped into believing that the KKK is someshow supportive of Barack Obama – think again. The KKK has already stated explicitly that he will be killed sure as hell. The Secret Service has already been contacted. Obama is already under the watchful eye of the Secret Service, the earliest of any presidential candidate.

Assembly Series wrestles with bioethical questions

Looking back over the recent past, the advances in biomedicine seem astonishing. The birth of the first "test tube baby" 30 years ago, for example, was viewed as exotic and, to some, scary. Now, in vitro fertilization is commonplace.

And yet, justifiable ethical concerns surround the human outcomes of these medical breakthroughs.

Music this week

Trans-Siberian Orchestra: If you're a fan of grandiose "classical rock" bands of yore, you'll relish the pomp and circumstance of this troupe, singing and telling their own rock opera "legends" of XMAS. Wachovia Center, 3601 S. Broad St. 3 and 8 p.m. Saturday, $39.50-$50.50, 215-298-4200, www.comcasttix.com

Hot Tuna: They blew out the longstanding Thanksgiving eve concert tradition this year, but better warmed over Tuna than two week old turkey. Keswick Theatre, Easton Road and Keswick Ave., Glenside. 8 p.m. Saturday, $29-$34, 215-572-7650, www.keswicktheatre.com

RRIICCEE: Vincent Gallo has won acclaim as an actor, writer and director of films like "Buffalo 66" and "The Brown Bunny." He's also had a musical career going on the side - with solo albums and as part of the no-wave musical group Gray (a collaboration with the late Jean-Michael Basquiat.) Now he's aiming to break on through to the other side with RRIICCEE, an experimental, spontaneous quartet collaboration co-fronted by Erick Erlandson, the former guitarist and founding member of Hole.

Harper to draw the line on Afghanistan

And--Ignatieff is making speeches about Canada's need to strengthen our backbone internationally (Edmonton speech last week).

And--Rae has made sensible noises about Manley's recommendations.

Here's what I propose--

Instead of whipping the vote, the LPC should hold a private Caucus meeting and have a vote about Harper's motion.

If the majority agrees with Dion, they force an election, and Dion goes for it.

If the majority disagrees with Dion, Dion resigns. He states he has lost the confidence of his own party. The LPC allow Iggy to lead the LPC, and they support the mission.

However, the Iggy-led LPC forces an election on the budget.

We get Iggy as PM by SPRING!!!!

I was expecting 2010, but wouldn't Iggy vs Harper in the debates be wonderful? Posted 05/02/08 at 11:18 PM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment .
